Neptune Krill Oil

Neptune Krill Oil has several advantages over fish oil, including significantly better bioavailability, stronger antioxidant activity and purity.

8 reviews

Krill is a type of zooplankton that inhabits the clean, pure waters of the Antarctic Ocean. Like fish oil, Neptune Krill Oil (NKO®) is rich in the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA — however, it is even more effective.

A recent randomized, placebo-controlled human clinical trial found NKO was significantly better than fish oil at maintaining cholesterol and triglyceride levels already within the normal range.* NKO was also shown to promote joint comfort, flexibility, and function compared with placebo in another human study.

Researchers attribute NKO’s efficacy to its unique structure. NKO includes EPA and DHA bonded to phospholipids — not triglycerides — giving it significantly greater bioavailability than fish oil (more than 50%). 100% pure Neptune Krill Oil is uniquely extracted, ecologically harvested from pure Antarctic krill, and produced in Canada.

Neptune Krill Oil

Krill are tiny bright-pink crustaceans that inhabit the Antarctic Ocean. Because krill feed on omega-3-rich phytoplankton, krill oil is a concentrated source of these essential fatty acids (EPA/DHA). Krill oil contains EPA/DHA bonded to phospholipids — not triglycerides — giving it significantly greater bioavailability than fish oil. Research on Neptune Krill Oil (NKO®) has demonstrated that it maintains blood lipids already within normal range, supports joint flexibility and function, and alleviates PMS symptoms.*

Krill Oil

Omega-3 fatty acids — particularly EPA and DHA — are “good-for-you” fats that are as critical to your health as vitamins and minerals.

Krill oil is a uniquely efficacious source of EPA and DHA due to its superior bioavailability versus fish oil.

Research has shown that krill oil is more bioavailable than fish oil, meaning the omega- 3s it contains are more easily absorbed and utilized than those from fish oil.

Q: How is Neptune Krill Oil extracted?

A: Neptune Krill Oil (NKO®) is extracted through a unique cold-vacuum process that preserves all of the biological properties and nutritional value of krill. NKO® contains 30% omega-3 fatty acids, 40% phospholipids, and 30% other oils and antioxidants, such as astaxanthin.

So far so good

I have been taking this product for a month now and excited because after reading the benefits of fish verses krill I wanted to give this a try. For me it is too early to see true benefits or a difference ( don’t know if that is a good thing or bad, lol) but will keep taking these instead of fish. I will say that it has a strong fish smell to them, which is fine with me but for someone sensitive to the smell may not like them. There is no taste to them.
