Check Out These Online Workout Classes

|

In terms of innovation, if we can describe the past year, it would be the one year where everyone found out all the amazing things they can do online. They can attend class, learn how to cook, watch a seminar, participate in office meetings, and even go to online concerts and other social events.

And because of the surge of virtual anything, it was only natural that fitness programs and other online workouts followed suit. If you’re interested in getting a good workout session with a virtual twist, check our list of what we think are must-try online workout classes. And the best part about them? They’re not expensive!

1. The Class by Taryn Toomey

  • Price: $40 per month with a 14-day free trial
  • Workout type: Pilates, Yoga, HIIT
  • Length: between 60 minutes

If you want a full-body Pilates workout that popular celebrities and athletes do, then The Class is for you. The digital version is just as intense as the live in-person one, but the difference is you don’t have to worry about showing up late to each session.

The workouts themselves are divided into three categories: calisthenics and cardio, Pilates on the floor, and a lot of jumping. And just like the rest of the classes on this list, the only real equipment you’ll need is a rubber mat and a lot of floor space.

2. Crunch Fitness

  • Price: $10 per month with a 90-day free trial
  • Workout type: Varied
  • Length: between Varies per session

Crunch Fitness is for those who want maximum variety without sacrificing results. Because no matter how good your program is, it’s bound to get repetitive, so online classes like Crunch Fitness guarantees variety above all. You may not get the after-exercise sauna they have for in-person attendees, but at least you didn’t have to leave your house!

3. E.F.F.E.C.T. Fitness

  • Price: $25 per month
  • Workout type: Boot camp
  • Length: between Varies per session

E.F.F.E.C.T. Fitness is the kind of online class you would take if you want some hard beats to go along with your fat burning and muscle building. The workouts are also on their official Instagram, so you don’t need to download yet another app on your poor app-riddled phone.

Aside from sick beats and boot camp-like nature of workouts, E.F.F.E.C.T. Fitness is also known to hold large groups of people at once, at least the recorded ones. The numbers have been more or less controlled nowadays for obvious reasons, but it doesn’t make it any less of an amazing group exercise class.

4. Housework by Sydney Miller

  • Price: $13 per class
  • Workout type: Pilates and Cardio
  • Length: between 45 minutes

Housework is perhaps the most stuck-at-home friendly online workout class in this list. Many of the workouts used consist of bodyweight workouts, so no major equipment needed. If you have a big towel, it can be used as something to lie on or even as a slider. Also, that big towel might as well be the only thing that can prevent a puddle forming on your house floor as each session is known to be an absolute sweat-fest.

5. Shadowbox

  • Price: $5 per class
  • Workout type: Boxing
  • Length: between 30-45 minutes

Shadowbox is a full-body online boxing class that offers professional conditioning and shadow boxing workouts. The workouts in themselves are more bodyweight, so the most you’ll need are floorspace, a rubber mat, and maybe a soundproof room because you might be doing a lot of screaming.

Takeaway…

Getting fit in a time where going outside can be bad for our health is challenging, but it’s not impossible. In fact, the wonders of the internet and a lot of motivated people have allowed fitness classes to be more far reaching than ever thanks to online workout programs. Whether you want something easy or something advanced, there’s bound to be an online workout class for you.
