Why Swap Your Regular Coffee for Mushroom Coffee?

Mushroom coffee is having a moment — and for good reason. Blending coffee with functional mushrooms offers a smoother, less acidic cup that’s easier on digestion. Many people also enjoy a more balanced energy lift without the jitters.

We’re especially excited about infusing mushroom coffee with AHCC®, our unique, clinically researched extract from shiitake mushrooms that supports immune function and focus.* You can simply open a capsule and stir those benefits right into your favorite drink.

How to Make Mushroom Coffee at Home

You can find mushroom coffee mixes in stores, but making it yourself is just as easy — and often fresher. Simply brew your favorite coffee, then blend in mushroom powder, spices, and milk of choice. Adjust sweetness to taste.

Golden Mushroom Latte with Cinnamon, Oat Milk & Turmeric

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup oat milk (unsweetened)
  • ½ cup brewed coffee
  • 1 tsp mushroom powder (chaga, reishi, lion’s mane, or AHCC®*)
  • ¼ tsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat oat milk in a small saucepan until steaming.
  2. Stir in turmeric, cinnamon, and mushroom powder until dissolved.
  3. Add brewed coffee and whisk or froth until creamy.
  4. Sweeten if desired, then pour into your favorite mug and enjoy.

Pumpkin Spice Mushroom Coffee

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup brewed coffee
  • ½ cup milk of choice (non-dairy or dairy)
  • 1 tsp mushroom powder (AHCC® works great here!*)
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin purée
  • ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or brown sugar (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small pot, combine milk, pumpkin purée, mushroom powder, and spices. Heat until warm.
  2. Froth the mixture or whisk until smooth.
  3. Pour over brewed coffee and stir well.
  4. Garnish with a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

Creamy Mushroom Mocha with Soy Milk

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup brewed coffee
  • ½ cup soy milk (higher protein option)
  • 1 tsp mushroom powder (AHCC® for an added boost*)
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1–2 tsp coconut sugar or sweetener of choice

Instructions:

  1. Heat soy milk in a small saucepan until steaming.
  2. Whisk in cocoa powder, sweetener, and mushroom powder until smooth.
  3. Pour over coffee, stir, and top with a dusting of cocoa.

Bonus: With any of these recipes you can leave out the brewed coffee if you’re cutting back on caffeine, swap it for decaf, swap it for an espresso shot, or make any of these mixtures into an iced mushroom coffee! You can even add your protein powder of choice if you’re focusing on protein intake. These recipes are flexible, functional, and delicious!
