Unlock a Better Workout – with Your Heartbeat

, |

Have you heard of F45 or Orange Theory Fitness? Both group fitness classes have something in common. That is, the use of a heart monitoring device to increase the effectiveness of your training!

Even though you may think you are going your hardest every workout - chances are, you may be leaving a little fuel in the tank.

Orange Theory and F45 have found a solution for this by utilizing heart rate monitors.

A heart rate monitor is the best way to keep tabs on your intensity level while exercising. The idea behind heart rate-based training is that you train your aerobic system without overstressing your skeletal and muscular systems.

Some ways to use this for your advantage, you can either invest in a heart rate monitoring device to wear while working out or try some of these group fitness classes that provide you with one to use!

F45 classes are a mix of high-intensity interval training (HIIT), circuit training, and functional training (exercises that help you move better in your day-to-day life. They are designed to help you burn fat, get stronger, and improve your overall fitness level. You can use the F45 LionHeart wireless heart rate monitors to track your workout. At the end of the exercise, you receive an email with a recap, including calories, heart rate, and point score. Our heart rate monitor is also linked to our F45 TVs in the studio so that you can track your heart rate during your workout!

At an Orange Theory Fitness class, you will either start on the treadmill, bike, or strider for the cardio portion or on the rower for the strength training portion, which includes floor exercises with the TRX systems, benches, and free weights. You will receive a heart rate monitor to wear on your arm during class, which will track your effort and display your stats on screens in the room. Like F45, they send you a workout summary with your results, which includes the total number of minutes spent in each heart rate zone, calories burned, and heart rate statistics.

Give one of these classes a try - or invest in a heart rate monitoring device so you can crank up the intensity of your workouts!
