Peptisol relieves symptoms of occasional indigestion, alleviates occasional heartburn, strengthens the stomach lining, and promotes daily regularity.*

Description

Nothing can ruin a good meal like occasional indigestion and heartburn. Fortunately, Peptisol® can help. Peptisol works in four specific ways to solve your most common digestive complaints.*

  • Relieves the symptoms of occasional indigestion, including pain, bloating, fullness, and nausea: Human clinical trials have found that artichoke leaf extract and GutGard®, (a proprietary extract of licorice root) both relieve the abdominal discomfort, bloating, and fullness that come with occasional indigestion, while ginger has been shown to gently soothe nausea.*

  • Alleviates occasional heartburn: In a double-blind, placebo-controlled human study, GutGard slashed symptoms of occasional heartburn by more than half.*
  • Promotes daily regularity: A recent human study found that artichoke extract
promoted a normal bowel pattern in people with occasional constipation and occasional diarrhea.*

Ingredients

Artichoke leaf extract

Artichoke is a member of the thistle family. Its large, scaly, edible buds are a popular food, but it has also long been used to treat occasional digestive problems.* It works by increasing bile flow (which helps emulsify fats) and stopping the bowel spasms that frequently accompany dyspepsia.* Artichoke leaf extract has been clinically shown to promote a normal bowel pattern in people with occasional constipation and occasional diarrhea.*

Ginger

The familiar herb ginger comes from the root of the flowering plant Zingiber officinale, originally native to Asia, but now cultivated worldwide as a food, spice, and medicine. Ginger is often used by people who suffer from nausea, such as those prone to motion sickness.* The key to ginger’s efficacy is the compounds gingerols and shogaols, which gently ease nausea by inhibiting the receptors that cause these sensations.*

GutGard®DGL (licorice root extract)

Licorice is a legume native to Southern Europe and parts of Asia. The familiar candy can be made from an extract of the root, but the herb has medicinal uses. Licorice relieves symptoms of occasional indigestion and heartburn by increasing the secretion of protective gastric mucus and increasing the pH of gastric fluid.* Gutgard is a proprietary, clinically validated licorice extract.

FAQ

Q: How does this product differ to other probiotic supplements on the market?

A: In general, most research for probiotics has tested the effects on diarrhea and constipation — not on indigestion. However, Peptisol has been studied to offer benefits for indigestion as well as in other areas. *
