Description

If you’re like millions of other Americans, you experience episodic digestion upsets, such as occasional constipation and diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, gas, and bloating. But if you thought you just had to put up with digestive troubles, here’s some good news: they are not inevitable! In fact, they are often simply due to a lack of beneficial bacteria (or probiotics).

Morinaga BB536 is a proprietary strain of Bifidobacterium longum developed by Japan’s second-largest dairy company. BB536 is one of the world’s most researched and effective probiotic strains, and the top-selling probiotic ingredient in Japan. Numerous published human clinical trials have shown that BB536:

  • Provides a natural defense against episodic digestive upsets, including occasional constipation and diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, gas, and bloating.*

  • Improves the body’s ratio of beneficial bacteria.*

  • Decreases ammonia and putrefactive products in the digestive tract.*

Morinaga BB536

Bifidobacterium longum is a type of beneficial bacteria, or probiotic, that promotes healthy digestion.* BB536 is a proprietary strain of B. longum and one of the most well-researched and effective probiotics available. Many human clinical studies have shown BB536 supports a healthy microbial balance in the gut and relieves symptoms of occasional constipation, diarrhea, and indigestion (particularly flatulence), while decreasing ammonia and putrefactive products in the GI tract.*

FAQ

Q: Why should Bifilon be taken with meals?

A: If taken with meals, the food can protect BB536 when it goes through the stomach acid.  So while it takes longer to reach the intestines than would be the case if it was taken before a meal, we feel that protecting the BB536 is more important. If you would still rather take BB536 on an empty stomach without food, then we would recommend that it be taken with milk, since the milk could also protect BB536 by adjusting the pH before entering the stomach.

So far this is making a difference for me. I like the single strain probiotics — it is easier to assess impact of the product.

After only one week of taking one capsule morning and night - and making homemade yogurt specifically cultured with these probiotics, consuming one cup twice a day - constipation is significantly less. These really do seem to work. There are studies online which show what this particular strain of probiotics can do, and in our case, they proved true. It has definitely helped.

Beware, no live culture in this "probiotic"

I always test every probiotic I receive by inoculating milk in a yogurt maker. This "probiotic" did nothing to the milk. Tried twice just to make sure, using 2 caps each time. Not sure if I got a bad batch or this is not a probiotic at all.
